Michael C. Hall will step back into Dexter Morgan’s shoes this month when they begin filming the sixth season of Dexter in and around Los Angeles.
Production is expected to be underway by the end of May, for a September premiere, and a few of the recurring roles being cast for the season have already been leaked.
Here’s a look:
| Jamie: Described as an outgoing and fun Latina in her mid-20s, this Florida native relocates to Miami for grad school.
| Chicago Mike: New thirtysomething African-American homicide detective who possesses a finely turned BS detector. The Windy City native does not play well with Dexter others.
| Louis: A buddy of Masuka’s (C.S. Lee) who joins MMP as a new lab intern. Role calls for a Caucasian actor in his 30s who is “attractive in his own way.”

My husband and I would like to know filming locations for the 6th season of Dexter. My mother (Estelle Smith Waller) and MIchael Hall’s Grandmother (Themis Smith Hall) were half sisters. I remember going to Grandparent’s home (Mark Smith) on many Sundays and playing with all of the cousins one of which was Michael’s father. My sister Ann Tyndall use to check on Aunt Themis and Uncle Carlyle and she has the sweetest note of thanks from Michael Hall. Jim, my husband, and I talk about doing an LA vacation and checking in on the filming of Dexter.
