As we reported last month, Burt Wonderstone, starring Steve Carell and Jim Carrey as two competing magicians, is set to begin filming in Las Vegas this month, but now it sounds like the shoot will only last for a few days.
Originally it was thought that the movie would shoot almost entirely in Vegas which would have made it one of the biggest productions to film in Nevada in years, but now the film is expected to spend only about five days in the area before moving to Los Angeles for the duration of the shoot.
The Los Angeles portion of filming is tentatively scheduled to run form January 16 through March 30, 2012 and the Las Vegas shoot will likely be completed before then, which means they are probably filming on the strip this week.
Jay Mohr, Olivia Wilde, Steve Buscemi and James Gandolfini also star in Wonderstone, which is expected to hit theaters next year.
Be on the look out for Burt Wonderstone filming in Las Vegas over the next couple of weeks and let us know if you spot them via email at olv@onlocationvacations.com or Twitter!
Also, according to the show’s Twitter page, America’s Most Wanted is filming in Las Vegas all week too!
