Now that CW’s One Tree Hill is coming to an end, after nine seasons, Sophia Bush has started looking for a new job and, according to Variety, she didn’t have to search for long before finding a new role.
Bush is set to take on the lead role in the CBS half-hour pilot Partners. The comedy, from Will & Grace creators Max Mutchick and David Kohan, will focus on two friends who are also business partners, one is straight while the other gay. Bush is expected to take on the role as Ali, the straight guy’s girlfriend.
It is expected that Ugly Betty star Michael Urie will take on the role of the gay friend. The pilot is being directed by sitcom vet James Burrows.
It’s rumored the pilot may be shot in L.A., most likely sometime next month when pilot season is in full swing. Stay tuned for filming location updates!
