Paul Rudd made his first appearance at San Diego Comic-Con for Marvel’s Ant-Man over the weekend.

“I’m popping my comic-con cherry,” Rudd said during the movie’s panel. “It’s a mindbender” joining the MCU. “I’m so honored to be a part of it. It’s really thrilling. I’ve been doing this (acting) as a job for awhile, but this is a whole other thing!”

Moderator Chris Hardwick couldn’t resist asking Douglas if he was a Comic-Con virgin, too.

“Mr. Michael Douglas, I can’t believe I’m saying this but we’re popping your cherry as well?,” Hardwick asked.

Douglas replied, “I’ve popped enough cherries…” before revealing the movie’s plot is about “a heist, with Hank’s partner, Corey, trying to take their company into an evil direction, and it’s up to his new mentee in Paul to take over and save the day.”

And, even though the movie hasn’t started filming yet, they also revealed the first footage from the film in which Douglas’ Hank Pym encourages his protege Scott Lang (Rudd) by reassuring him the job he’s about to do isn’t that difficult as long as he trusts the helmet.

Ant-Man will begin filming in Georgia next month.
